Meet The Counselor
Katie Brown is a licensed professional counselor (LPC #5527) in the state of Colorado and has been practicing counseling for over 17 years. She has a depth of experience working with adults, children, adolescents and families. Katie has experience in both private practice and community mental health settings. Katie has worked with individuals in various cultural settings including Edinburgh, Scotland, as well as individuals and families with various cultural backgrounds in the greater Denver area. In addition, Katie has enjoyed providing supervision to counselor trainees and has worked with adolescents as a counselor, athletic coach and group facilitator. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure studies from Old Dominion University, and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Denver Seminary. Katie is trained from Columbia University's Center for Complicated Grief in Complicated Grief treatment, level II.
Katie also enjoys working with adolescents and has spent many hours assisting adolescents and their families navigate the teenage years and the challenges that accompany them.
